His experience has spanned the agriculture industry through work on small-and large-scale cattle operations ranging from the southeast to the Rocky Mountains. Through his work with state, national, and global organizations, Ryan applies his hands-on experience in production agriculture to lead advocacy and communication efforts across the agriculture community. When not working on the road or from his on-farm office in southwest Virginia, Ryan can be found in the mountain as a trail and ultrarunner competing in races upwards of 100 miles in distance and recovering with a quality steak on his plate.
